Cybersecurity SIWES I

A fully virtual 12-week programme covering information security fundamentals, threats and malware, network basics, Linux and endpoint security, identity and social engineering, risk assessment, and a mini-project — all grounded in HSE, professional ethics, and NDPA awareness. Students build structured daily logbook habits and compile a complete, submission-ready SIWES I report by Week 12.

How SIWES I Supports SIWES Outcomes

SIWES I equips students to use real security tools safely and understand how each task contributes to an organisation's overall protection posture. Every practical activity feeds directly into a structured logbook that becomes the foundation of the final SIWES report.

Cybersecurity SIWES II

The 12-week follow-on to SIWES I for students ready to apply an offensive lens safely. This programme covers recon and scanning, credential attacks, web and SQL injection basics, log analysis, forensics, incident response, and a guided capstone project — all within a strictly ethical framework. Students produce an advanced SIWES II report demonstrating measurable progression from SIWES I.

How SIWES II Builds on SIWES I

SIWES II deepens students' capabilities across offensive recon, web vulnerabilities, log analysis, incident response, and a guided capstone project — while maintaining the rigorous daily documentation habits established in SIWES I. The result is a more advanced technical report that employers and institutions can evaluate.
